At Fat Slice, we build gourmet sandwiches designed to be eaten fresh. Because our menu relies on perfectly toasted artisan breads, hot melted cheeses, and crisp greens, we do not ship our products via traditional postal or parcel services. To maintain our uncompromising standards of quality and food safety, we operate exclusively on a Local Pick-Up and Limited Local Delivery model.
Shipping Policy
Local Pick-Up (Preferred Method)
The fastest and most reliable way to get your catering order is to pick it up directly from us.

Pick-Up Location: All orders are prepared fresh and packaged securely for transport directly from our Kruså kitchen.

Scheduling: During checkout or your catering consultation, you will select a specific pick-up date and time window.

What to Bring: Please bring your order confirmation (digital or printed) and a valid ID matching the name on the order.

Punctuality: Because our sandwiches are built to order and served hot or fresh, arriving within your designated time window is crucial. We cannot guarantee optimal food temperature or quality for orders picked up late.
Local Delivery (Within 50 km)
For corporate meetings, large events, and special catering packages (such as our Per-Guest Packages or 10-Packs), we offer a specialized local delivery service.

The 50 km Radius: To ensure the structural integrity and temperature of our food, we strictly limit our delivery zone to a 50 km radius surrounding Kruså. If your event falls outside this zone, your order must be placed for Pick-Up.

Delivery Minimums: Delivery is reserved for bulk and catering orders. A minimum order value or quantity (e.g., 10 pieces minimum) is required to qualify for delivery.

Delivery Fees: A standard delivery fee applies to all dispatched orders, calculated based on your exact distance from our kitchen and the size of the catering package.
Delivery Windows and Receiving

Scheduled Arrival: We will provide an estimated delivery window for your catering order. While we factor in standard travel times, please allow a slight buffer for unexpected traffic or weather conditions.

Hand-to-Hand Handoff: Someone must be present at the venue or office to receive the catering order. Because we are dealing with fresh meats, dairy (like fresh burrata and stracciatella), and temperature-sensitive items, we will never leave an order unattended outside a door or in a lobby.
Missed Pick-Ups and Unsuccessful Deliveries

Missed Pick-Ups: If you fail to collect your order within 2 hours of your scheduled pick-up time, and we cannot reach you, the order will be discarded for food safety reasons. No refunds will be issued for abandoned orders.

Unsuccessful Deliveries: If our driver arrives at the scheduled location and no one is available to receive the food within a 15-minute grace period, the driver will return the order to our kitchen. You may arrange to pick it up yourself, but the delivery fee will not be refunded, and the quality of the food cannot be guaranteed.
Changing Your Fulfillment Method

Notice Required: If you need to switch your order from Pick-Up to Delivery (or vice versa), you must notify us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled time.

Availability: Upgrading to Delivery is strictly subject to driver availability and our 50 km radius limitation. Additional delivery fees will be invoiced and must be paid before dispatch.
